Welcome to Mount Harmon Plantation, one of Maryland’s most beautiful historic sites. Mount Harmon features a restored 18th century manor house, colonial kitchen, formal boxwood garden, Education & Discovery Center, tobacco prize house, 200-acres of pristine open space, nature trails, and a spectacular waterfront setting. Mount Harmon Plantation is the northernmost colonial era Tidewater plantation open to the public, and is a scenic and historic treasure. The plantation museum and grounds are open May through October, Thursday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mount Harmon is available year round by appointment for educational program tours and special group tours. It is also available for weddings, corporate retreats, and private functions, and makes a spectacular setting for any special occasion.The plantation is situated on a peninsula formed by creeks and inlets of the Sassafras River in Cecil County, Maryland, known on early maps as World’s End. Mount Harmon is listed on the National Historic Register, is an official Chesapeake Bay Gateway Network site, and is located along the National Scenic Byway.
