“An 8,500-Square-Foot Winery and Microbrewery Under One Roof”
An 8,500-Square-Foot Winery and Microbrewery Under One Roof!Starkey’s Lookout, a winery and microbrewery under one roof, opened for business in May 2012. Roughly three years in the making, our winery also serves food and produces our own soda. In addition to tastings, we sell wine by the glass or bottle and beer by the pint, pitcher, 750-ml bottle or growler. Co-owners Dave Bunnell and Dr. Olaf Lieberg have brought on Michael Reidy as our consulting winemaker. Reidy is winemaker for Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards in Hector, NY, as well as Hazlitt's Red Cat Cellars in Naples, NY. For our GC Starkey Beer Co., our consulting brewmaster is also a longtime baker and ice cream maker in the Finger Lakes. Our winery has two labels: SenecaHayes Wine Cellars and Twisted Screw Wine Co. The latter is for the sweeter table wines, the former for the dry wines. Options now available include the 2009 Cabernet Franc, the 2011 Chardonnay and the 2011 Twisted Pink, a blend of Cayuga White and Vincent.
