“Learn about maritime history!”
The Lake Superior Marine Museum Association (LSMMA) is a non-profit group, based in Duluth, MN, which provides the maritime artifacts found in the Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center. The association gives financial support for continued museum acquisitions and is dedicated to recording the oral and written history of the Great Lakes maritime industry. In addition, LSMMA helped create the Lake Superior Maritime Collection archives, which is located at the University of Wisconsin-Superior Jim Dan Hill Library.
Interesting display and information regarding the area and the big lake. Worth a visit.
If you take the boat tour they play Wreck of The Edmund Fitzgerald over and over. Makes it more creepy than fun.
