“eclectic mediterranean inspired cuisine”
Located in the historic center of Dorset Village, Vermont, Mio Bistro offers an unexpected dining experience in a peaceful Vermont setting. Chef Leo LeDoux's eclectic menu includes Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, entrees prepared with an international twist, and seasonally changing seafoods and comfort foods (such as his signature lobster macaroni and cheese). Everything is prepared daily, using whole, natural products and ingredients, “from scratch,“ including the use of antibiotic- and hormone-free meats and wild-caught fish, when available. The wine list includes offerings from around the world, with a special focus on varietals from California, Oregon, and Washington. The bistro's goldenrod-colored walls, dining bar, and exposed beam ceilings create an atmosphere both comfortable and elegant, with the open kitchen adding a vibrancy and liveliness to the dining experience. In warm weather, the covered terrace is a wonderful spot to enjoy an evening meal and a glass of wine. In the fall and winter, there are weekly theme nights, which can feature a Mexican mole sauce made from over fifteen ingredients, a vegetarian special, or a Thai seafood bisque. A visit to Mio Bistro can be a delicious and pleasant escape in one of Vermont's most pristine villages.
