Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on June 11, 2021We had a gravel 50a FHU with cable, picnic table and fire ring. Plenty long enough for us and the tow. Gated. And you need a gate card if you’re out after 8 pm when the office closes. $20 deposit for the card. Large campground with lots of park models and seasonals. The laundry/shower room at our end was clean. There was an exit gate at our end but you could only enter from the front. Laundry was very reasonable at 1.50 each. Cable worked very well. We were worried something was wrong with our hookup because the cable did not work great the last two places we had it. So it was the campgrounds not us. Didn’t use WiFi. Verizon worked fine.

Easy to find, check-in process quick. Very large campground, yet not noisy. The bridge is out on this end of the lake, but only a 10 min detour to get around. This newest section has young trees, so not much shade, if any. The shower/restroom combo was clean (lots of room). Lots to do in this area — we went to a winery up by Lake Erie (Johnson Estate) and took a long drive on Route 5 — beautiful!

Trying to drive to this KOA has been made difficult due to a road closure and poor signage by the county. But there is no help or mention of this on the campground’s website or in their confirmation email. And their staff gave us incorrect driving instructions resulting in 40 minutes of wasted driving. The closure makes it take longer to reach the nearby city of Mayville. If we knew of the closure in advance, we would have stayed somewhere else. If you like KOA, there is one nearby in Westfield, NY near Lake Erie. We also found the $20 deposit for the entrance card to be excessive. Other campgrounds we’ve stayed at only charge only $5.
