New 18-acre Festival Park is a Tudor village with permanent shops; castle; and jousting field. Home of the Des Moines Renaissance Faire each September. Snowtubing run is 15 stories high with lifts pulling tubers back up the hill. Ski runs are groomed daily. Free beginner ski lessons available for ages 5 and up. Full rental shop includes skis; snowboards; ski-boards and sled dogs. Snowboard and ski area features a variety of jumps and rails. Variety of runs for beginner to expert; including a Border X run.
