Thirty animals and two wheelchair-accessible chariots turn to the music of a Stinson band organ on this colorful wooden carousel. Located in a city park near the Des Moines River; this replica of a turn-of-the-20th-century carousel features handpainted scenes of Des Moines landmarks. Group rentals available.
A note: not open until Memorial Day weekend. This info is on their website but you need to dig a bit to find it. GPS marker is a bit off but if you go by the address you should find it. Lovely park.
