Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on August 06, 2018There are no hook-ups, or even a dump station at Hiwassee/Ocoee Scenic River State Park. The sites at Gee Creek Campground are advertised as pull through and have very large dimensions, but when you actually see them, most of them have very sharp drives that you can't fit more than a pop up in. In my full video review I list some sites that I recommend if you have a long camper, and in this case I mean like longer than 20 ft. Mostly the best spots are the corner spots on the end of the loops, because they are the straightest and longest. It is right on the Hiwassee River and there is a boat ramp that you can use as a take out. If you own your own equipment and have more than one car you can take your stuff up and put in at Webb's Store or go further up where there shuttle goes to and float all the way down to the camp. The big down side for me is that they allow generators, but they are not generator friendly. The policy says online to use no more than necessary, but a park ranger approached (probably from a complaint) and said they ask that you use it no more than 15 minutes every two hours. I bought an inverter generator for instances just like this, but couldn't use it much. Oh, and no use at all at night. I do understand that one.

Well laid out & well kept. Paved, pull-thru sites, nearly all are level. (The pull-thru is arc shaped and the tight arc of a few sites could be a consideration for the largest of rigs. It was not an issue at all for our 25' travel trailer.)
The campsites are large, well spaced and separated. No hookups. Public water spigots are variously located around the park. No dump station.
The bathhouse with showers is heated, clean and well maintained.
Would stay here again and would recommend to others.
