Beware of map when booking. Some spots are impassable and hard to hook up with a trailer. Cannot receive mail or packages easily. Not a good spot for long term. Nice river spots for summer so possibly nice summer camping. Dog Friendly however when I stayed there, close campers allowed their dogs outside roaming free and constant barking. Management greets you when you move in. After that, you won't see them.

Book monthly for a discount. We came for a week and spent the summer there. My husband still is working so we needed a home base with cell service during the week. On the weekends, we’d adventure out into the mountains. It was such easy living here. We camped with our window looking at the river and could fish in the evenings. We have birds everywhere along the park along the river. This summer I saw 50 different species in the area. The staff is amazing. We plan to go back again this summer.

Stayed after skiing wolf Creek. Called and Linda helped us choose a spot M15. She then had the maintenance person/manager(?) meet us there to bring us right to the spot and got us set up with water. Level parking areas and easy pull through. Had 15 20 and 30 amp hookup. The bathrooms and showers are clean and they have laundry available too. Next morning maintenance gentleman helped us again with the dump station. Most people here in winter are here full time. Would definitely stay here again. Quiet and clean with great staff! Also loved that it was just a little off the main roads no road noise.

Stayed in a site on the River and had a great view. Campground was quiet and offered water and electric sites. Recommend staying in river spots if possible, the spots away from the water are pretty tight and there are some longer term residents there as well. Showers are pretty minimal, but they held hot water and provided ample space for dressing. Women's has two stalls and men has only one stall. There are two dump locations and one trash area. I had to work in the afternoon and was able to use their WiFi for video calls.

Really nice park on the Rio Grande. The river is deep and swift here, very pretty — great place to put your chair for the afternoon, with a good book in hand. The campground is well shaded. I don’t recall our site number but it was in the second row. First-row sites have some river view but there is a road in between so you are not right on the River. Would stay here again.

We arrived on a Thursday in September and were planning to stay at the town park for free a few blocks away. Turned out they had a farmers market and music until 9PM on Thursdays (June-Sept), so lots of cars and no clear way to park our 34 ft classA. Decided to give this place a try after seeing online that they had spots available. Drove in and they did. Linda was very nice to check us in and give us a spot near the Rio Grande River (R19) one row away from river. Sites R1-18 are on the river. Sites are very spacious and lots of shade from the tall cottonwood trees. Sites in “the meadow” have less to no shade and are closer together (and more long-termers). We have reservations elsewhere for tomorrow, otherwise we’d stay longer. And we could still enjoy listing to the music in the park from our camping spot. Cell service is good and free wifi at campground. Water and electric hookup, dumpstation near office. Also laundry on site, but did not use.

The woman who checked us in was nice, and after we discovered the hook-ups were on the wrong side for a back-in site, she moved us to a different site. The river sites are shaded and pretty, but don’t have sewer hook-ups so we chose a meadow site. The meadow sites are just dirt and weeds. There was construction going on, so maybe when they’re finished it will be better. The best part for me was the path next to the river. It connects with a town path, so you can walk by the river for awhile. We didn’t use the laundry or restrooms so I can’t rate those.

I read good reviews about this place. I'd say very accurate. The folks that run the campground are friendly and helpful. I'd been wanting to camp right on the river, and this campground provides that. Very clean and well maintained. The sites aren't too close, so you have your space. Nice walking paths inside the campground. Close restaurants and grocery stores in Del Norte.
