Winterthur Museum, Garden and Library

Winterthur (pronounced “winter-tour”) is an overlooked destination in the Brandywine Valley. The estate has charm, offering a huge variety of guided tours through the gardens, houses, and galleries once owned by Henry Francis du Pont in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. These tours show off the collection of nearly 90,000 objects displayed largely as they were when the du Ponts lived here, as well as the naturalistic gardens, and even rotating exhibits.
