waterfall
Went on Sat morning in early August. Falls did not live up to pictures. Disappointing. REALLY terribly busy and crowded so much so we could hardly swim anywhere much less the falls area which is mostly corded off. They did have shuttle service up & down large hill to/from parking though. Bathrooms did not have toilet paper, long lines everywhere. Lots of loud international music and tents & folding tables & cooking on the side of the falls path & on sides of parking lots. Lots of families & kids. Did have places to buy pizza, basic grilled food, floats. Also had areas to camp or RV overnight which seemed pretty much at capacity. I think we will try again & go back & hike when it is not swim season because the area itself is very pretty.
Amazing. Very cool stop on our way to Waco. 1, 3, 11 year old and my husband and I had a great time. Make sure to bring life preservers for kids under twelve. We toured this old castle, took a dip by the waterfall and sat in the little river that runs through the park. Loved it!
