This is one of the largest, most attractive commercial campgrounds we've ever stayed at, with 100+ campgrounds under our belts. Most of the sites are rented seasonally, but all were very well kept, some with landscaping that would put most houses to shame. The campground is huge, but very hilly, with most sites carved out of the hills and then leveled. This means most sites are spaced pretty far apart, and many have very long driveways (100+ feet) to get to the level part of the site. We stayed for a week and were in one of a handful of pull-through sites which are, unfortunately, closer together, but still nice. Our site was the end of the row so we had a huge lawn on our camping side. There's also a small section next to the pool where sites are much closer together and not nearly as nice. There were plenty of places to walk our dog inside the campground, plus there are trails within and adjacent to the campground. They have a very nice looking mini golf course, a pool, playgrounds, and more. We were able to receive deliveries at the office. The only downside for us was cellular connectivity. We had 2 bars of AT&T 4G at our site, but it was usually very slow. Other parts of the campground had no AT&T. We had 2 bars of Verizon LTE at our site, and sometimes it was fast, other times extremely slow. We'd return, as long as we don't get put in the cramped sites next to the pool.

We are not RV campground folks, but since the state parks in Vermont were not open we thought we would take a chance with this place based on reviews, pictures, and Google maps. We agree with Life Rebooted's review. I will add some additional information., if you want to find a more private area in the campground. The pull through sites are on the west side of the campground with few trees, so you have limited shade and privacy. They are between the pool and the playground, which makes is a noiser spot. The back up sites are on the northeast side of the campground (102- 124, even numbers), so you are facing south during the day, but by late afternoon you do have shade. Again there are few trees and privacy in this area. But if you want shade and some privacy between the sites, then ask to be near the tenting area - tends to face East. All have water and electric and some have sewer. There is a small bathroom in the area, while the bath house is near the office.

There are several walking trails through the woods. One leads to the Lamoille Valley Railtrail and a lovely fishing pond. The campground has two pools, mini-golf, rec hall, playground, laundry and events on the weekends. We had 2 to 3 bars with a cell booster at our site.

You are about 10 minutes or less to the beach area at Joes Pond. You can put in a boat at the state ramp about a mile further down the road from the beach. It's a nice pond to paddle on, but probably not on the weekend, since there are a lot of summer camps.

There is a small grocery store, hardware store and gas station a few miles away in Danville. The Sambel's Bus at the public beach has good food and there are several restaurants in the area. The farmers markets is every Wednesday. Saint Johnsbury, a larger town, will offer more options. Near by is the Fairbanks Museum, St Johnsbury Anthenaeum, Dog Chapel and the the White MTs.

The facility itself is pretty nice. There is a mini golf course, pool, and lots of sites. Our site was long, but quite muddy. It was impossible to keep anything clean. The electric box was so far away we had to break out the extension cord, so make sure you have one. The wifi is 7$ a day, but thankfully we had 2 bars on Verizon, lte. We would stay here again if we needed to, just lower the expectations that we based on the reviews.
