Confirmed by 4 users | Last reported on August 16, 2023Lazy Days is a very cute, kitschy, campground with lots of art work scattered about the pool and between the sites. The bathrooms are very nicely decorated with painted stall doors etc. and they are very clean.
This campground is located about a mile and a half from I70 on MO Hwy J. Our GPS could not find Hwy J but we were able to call and get directions from the office. Arrival was quick and efficient and we got an escort to our site (#15).
The sites are very close together to the point that we had to pull in our awning to let our neighbors pull their trailer out and on the other side their pop-up awning was only a few feet from the side of our coach. All of the sites seem to be on the top of small hills making it a bit hard to level but we were able to get pretty close without our wheels coming off the ground. We did see at least one Class C with their front wheels several inches off the ground. All of the sites are gravel with small strips of grass.
All though the cell service was a bit low the camp WiFi was very usable. This is a great campground for a one night quick stay close to the highway and and easy in and out.
We loved the art work but would have preferred less gravel!

Typical RV Park, spots are stacked too close - telephone pole blocked my awning :-( fire ring too close to neighbor site. New owners are great, clean CG.

This place is so nice. All gravel, no mud. Sites are level, and pretty large. Very clean campground. Has so much personality - art to look at everywhere. We loved that. We paid $38 - which is a huge bargain for a campground of this quality. Several little ponds to enjoy and even a couple of walking trails. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. The laundry and shower house was very clean and unique. Corn hole and other yard games set out for your use. Pool looks huge and very nice (we didn’t use). Huge fenced in dog area. Possibly the nicest campground we have stayed at. Wish we had more time to enjoy it!

The owners are amazing, sites are immaculate, landscaping is so well maintained. They make you feel like you’re coming home. Dog park, walking trails and a very clean swimming pool! Cool yard games and they even have yard Yahtzee.

We stopped over for 1 night- mostly just trying to get out of St Louis and this was the closest thing I could find to the interstate. This is such a nice property and I wish we'd stayed several days instead of just one night. The owners are really putting money and effort back into the property. The laundry and bathhouse are immaculate. There are trails to walk after a long day or early morning. That morning we walked down through the woods to a small lake, watched a goose and listened to turkeys calling. There is a nice fenced dog area. There wood carvings all over the property which are fun to walk around and look at. A nice spot for tenting too - the tent area was away from the RVs. It's really quiet and very well cared for, easy to get to and out of. This will definitely be on my can't miss list any time we come through the area and we'll definitely stay for a few days next time.

We stopped here last minute to get outside of St. Louis and they were so helpful to get us in quickly. Staff was very friendly and the bathrooms/ laundry extremely clean! The camp itself was very clean and the sites were level with groomed gravel. They have a great little walking trail to a pond and our daughter even caught a nice size bass! Would stay here again!

We chose Lazy Day for our very first trip. They were out of full hookups but we had electric and water. It's a great little place; big dog park, two catch and release fishing lakes, a big game area with horseshoes, washers, and other games, a couple of clubhouses and a nice little pool. The laundry, bathrooms and showers were very clean. For $7 they will bring a decent load of firewood to your site, enough for a couple nights. Note: There is NO central dump. If you're going to need to dump, you'll need full hookup sites and not the water and electric only sites.

Beautiful property, welcoming and friendly. Dan showed me the way to my campsite, and made sure to pull out his Level before he left! Dog park is great, the pond is beautiful. The attention to detail at this campground is among the best I’ve ever seen. Easy access off I70. Was a perfect reprieve after KS. Highly recommended.

We stayed a night here on our way from Tennessee to Colorado. A little over an hour west of St Louis, we were really impressed with everything this place had to offer. We read all of the great reviews before making the decision to stay...and we’re glad we found this hidden gem. Nice facilities and the people that run it are awesome...and extremely accommodating. We got in after dark and they were there to greet us. They guided us to our spot and came back to check on us once we were all set up for the night. We will definitely keep this spot on our list when in the area.
