Beautiful hike in Custer State Park. The very end is a bit anticlimactic, but the area just before the end is gorgeous. The trail varies- sometimes flat, sometimes steep, sometimes narrow, sometimes wide. We were here in late July and there were abundant wildflowers along the path.
This is an epically beautiful hike! There’s lots of variety in steepness, but definitely not as strenuous as I expected. Lots of fun big boulders to climb on for kids. Super glad we were able to do this hike in Custer State Park! I think this was the highlight of our Black Hills trip.
Awesome sight! Worth the drive and the crowds.
