“Where tall trees and the ocean meet”
This remote 8 mile-long coastline is where the tall redwoods meet the ocean. The trees here are among the tallest in the world, fed by the area's over 100 inches of rainfall each year. This park, along with others that make up the Redwood National and State Parks group protect 45 percent of the Earth's remaining old-growth redwood forest. The park includes trails for hikers and cyclists, including a portion of the 1,200 mile long California Coastal Trail. Note: This is Crumb Clean park and visitors must watch a video about the impact human food has on park wildlife.
