Level, back in site, and a clean restroom nearby but sure wish there was a water hookup.

stayed 3 nights with gorgeous weather - heavily wooded with beautiful hardwood trees all around but the paved pads were very narrow and only a few looked level - we had to go up on blocks on one side and had no fire ring; however appeared we might have been the only one and looked like people move them around? sites only have electric with no water or sewer at the site but there are a few water spigots around if you need to fill - almost like boondocking but there is a dump on the way out - great for the many hiking trails one along the Ohio River and climbing the old fire tire very near and the paved roads in the campgrounds were awesome for riding bikes, jogging and walking - was full on a Saturday but most people left on Sunday morning. There is an equestrian campground behind the regular sites and many horse trails around - there is a large pool with a water slide near the entrance but was blocked off and closed due to social distancing so we never got to go see it - can imagine this would be even more popular on summer weekends when pool opens - a nice campground with decent bathhouses (the grandkids all said the water in the showers was not hot) - would give higher stars if water hookups at sites and better showers - All in all it is still a nice place and if grandkids wanted to go back when pool reopens, we would stay again and hike again!

Impromptu stop on our way home from Cincinnati. The park has a nice nature center and reenactment farm open seasonally. We parked at the nature center off season. There is a very nice gravel trail here. Easy walk about 1.5 miles. We combined it with the moderate trail up to the campground because my daughter needed to use the restroom and that is the only place I knew one would be open off season. Trail up was muddy due to all the rain but manageable. Bathroom at campground was clean. Kids played on the small playground for a while before hiking back to the car. Very nice park
FYI:
If using the dump station be sure to choose the one to the right. You may still need to tilt your camper to get your tanks to empty.
Clean state park with lots to do! Pool, caves, hiking, and camping. Close to the first state capital so educational too!
