“hassle free camping”
Setting up camp at the Corbin/Laurel Lake KOA is hassle-free, thanks to big-rig friendly RV Pull Thru Sites. This is the KOA closest to pristine Laurel Lake and Cumberland Falls State Park (known as the Niagara of the South), where you can view the famous "Moonbow." Visit Colonel Harland Sanders (KFC) Cafe and Museum, Big South Fork Scenic Railway in Sterns and Daniel Boone Country and Cumberland Gap National Historical Park, where Daniel Boone cut his way west in 1769. Enjoy nearby water rafting, horseback riding, hiking and canoeing. At camp, enjoy the shade trees, swim in the pool, take a half-mile hike to Laurel Lake or a 2-mile drive to a public-access boat ramp. Free Wi-Fi (may not be available at water/electric-only sites and Tent Sites). For after-hours registration, use KOA's outdoor booth. Pool: Memorial Weekend - Labor Day Weekend. Max pull thru: 80 feet. Your host: Kendra Cooney.
When we stopped the night before the guest services employees were both very helpful and nice! However, the morning shop opening employee was the rudest person we have ever encountered! First he unlocked the shop door and slammed the door behind himself (right in our faces). We asked him if they sold coffee. He said he hadn't made any yet. We told him we would come back later then to which he replied "That's assuming I'm going to make some." What a jerk!
We stayed 1 night. Had a great experience. The guy that checked us in was very helpful & kind. Nice wooded area. Quiet.
