If you have kids and want a great time with plenty to do to keep them and you occupied, this place should be on your list. The water park is outstanding and the amenities offered are many. From Gemini golf to bowling to the arcade, you will never be bored with the little ones. Parents have options too. A great drink menu and plenty of friendly folk make this a place for the whole family. And YES the lakes DO have alligators in them!

Very clean; even see employees cleaning signs, all paved roads, sites are either concrete or a large concrete pad. Depends on which you want. Check in was fast, employees lead you to your site on their golf cart. Everyone is happy there, very family friendly.
They have tons of daily activities, live music, etc. nice store, drinks, service was always good.
It’s not on the beach, but they have their private beach club they take you to for free, a beach side pool, restaurant, bar, etc.

This large campground was immaculate. Super clean bathrooms, showers, and each site was practically cleaned to the point of erasing any existence of a previous camper. Admittedly geared toward family fun, there were lots of daily activities and entertainment options to stay occupied. There's an arcade, bowling, outdoor bar and grill, pools, campground, mini golf, jumping pillow, and a general store. They even have tiny homes for rent if you don't have a camper!
I would advise steering clear of the sites that immediately surround the "recreation building"/pool area. They crank the music up at 8am(?) and keep it going until quiet hour (11pm). At least this was the case on the weekend I was there. You can hear folks on a loud speaker as they direct kids games or have live music. Just be aware. We were three rows from it, and while it didn't bother me, if you prefer quieter sites, you've got several options. But here are the ones I would avoid...RV sites: avoid D1-D36, C10-C42, tiny homes section: avoid B1-B35. You will have to pay extra to choose a specific site. They do escort you to your site with a golf cart, which was helpful because this place is huge.
I was surprised that they only had 3 "comfort stations" for all of those campsites. It was a bit of a trek to the one closest to our site, if you have mobility issues, I suppose you could rent a golf cart.
Overall, this type of resort wasn't my jam, but it was impressive! All the employees we encountered were super helpful and nice.

There are a lot of activities at the resort. During the day it was great. But I've never been at a campground that is so loud at night. Especially the weekends. When I called at 10pm to ask about quiet hours, I was told people could be out playing music at their site until 11pm. With campers tightly spaced, that seemed unreasonable. Our neighbors had a karaoke machine and hooted and hollered and got their full time until 11. 2 calls to the front office made no difference.
If you come, just realize it will be late before you can sleep.

The Carolina Pines RV Resort was absolutely pristine with super-clean sites, well-manicured grounds, and plenty of amenities to offer.
Check-in was fast, courteous, and a cart driver escorted us to our site. The RV site was we stayed at had a large, level, and clean concrete pad with freshly-laid mulch along the landscaped area. The RV sites are set at an easy herringbone angle with wide arterial roads for easy ingress/egress, regardless of RV-type. We were next to large Class A and other larger travel trailers; the sites were well-designed. The electrical service was stable and the sewer connections were well-maintained and very clean.
The resort staff were highly visible as they roamed the grounds making frequent maintenance stops and were friendly -- they never made me feel as if I was being a burden with my questions. The dogs loved their walks to the on-site dog park and I appreciated how clean it was.
The central entertainment area had a restaurant, ice cream/take-out window, and large pillow-bed swings to lounge about and enjoy the grounds for a people-watching session. The on-site water park was another treat for those camping with children. Speaking of children, despite the large numbers of kids milling around the park, they were seemed to abide by the park rules of maintaining a relatively low roar and did not present themselves as a nuisance. Of course, had they, I am convinced the resort staff would intervene.
The Carolina Pines RV Resort definitely lives up to its name and I look forward to visiting there again!

RVers as a species generally fall into two categories: those who love nature and the beauty thereof, and those who love entertainment and the fun thereof.
After two weeks immersed in the majesty of the ocean landscapes of Anastasia State Park in FL, and Huntington Beach State Park in SC, we find ourselves in what I can only describe as the Disney World of RV resorts, Carolina Pines RV Resort in Conway/Myrtle Beach, SC.
There’s always a debate in camping circles about what constitutes a resort. At Carolina Pines, they’ve completely redefined its meaning. Not content with the simplicities of a pool and jungle gym, the resort has constructed a Shangri-la of entertainment bliss, from a water park, to a matrix of pools (one indoors), to a bowling alley, to restaurants, grills, lava-rock-heated seating areas, fitness centers, jumping pillows, splash pads, and on and on the list goes. I'm out of breath just writing it.
There is also a sister beach club available to resort guests whereby you can take a shuttle to the beach and spend the day there on the ocean, with access to facilities, pools, and dining there, all as part of your stay at Carolina Pines.
If that were not enough, in addition to the massively huge RV area, there are several types of tiny homes and cottages you can buy or rent on the property while availing yourself of all the resort has to offer.
The KOAs and Jellystones have paved the way to this point in the luxury resort genre, but Carolina Pines has kicked the resort parks into hyperdrive with this campground. And its fame is not confined to SC. This campground is on the radar of every RVer in the country, mostly thanks to word-of-mouth and the proliferation of YouTube.
As for us, though, as kinetic and exciting as this place is, we’ll stick to the grandeur of a marine ecosystem over a man-made lazy river. Nevertheless, if you love the electricity of non-stop fun and excitement, Carolina Pines is your new ground zero.

We are first time Snowbirds and we picked a great place to do it. It's like being on vacation every day the amenities are plentiful and I also enjoy playing golf and there are plenty of courses to pick from and the price is half of what I pay in New England.

As others have said, the amenities here are absolutely amazing. Pools, mini golf, bowling, water park (although was not open when we were there in December) bar, restaurant, etc. The staff in the office, store, maintenance team, and restaurant were all friendly and helpful. Laundry facilities and restrooms/ showers were sparkling clean. The entire grounds were very well kept. They offered shuttle service to nearby historic Conway SC, Calabash NC, and several shopping areas on various days. This was super helpful to us as we have a class C motorhome and do not pull a tow vehicle. We have EBikes and enjoyed riding them around the park daily, but the road outside the park was not conducive to us being able to ride them anywhere else (narrow shoulder, traffic, etc.). It was fairly quiet when we were here with empty spaces behind us. Our site was on an end which was great. The sites are no closer together than other RV parks and the way they have the landscaping with small trees and tall grass, it gives more of a sense of privacy than many parks.
