“a study of recurring biological phenomena”
"Annabelle" is a praying mantis located in the Chadwick Arboretum on west campus near the Woody Hayes Bridge in the Phenology Garden. This garden is a study of recurring biological phenomena (blooming of wildflowers and trees, emergence of insects, bird migration) and their relationship to the weather.
Spent about 1/2 hour searching for Annabelle without any luck. Asked several people on campus in the area where she was but no one had every seen or heard of her.
Hidden behind some bushes right where they said it was. Got some great pictures and was easy to negotiate with 32 foot Class C
Address is 590. See photo. Turn right once in the parking lot.
She's right at the entrance of Chadwick arboretum to the right of the steps coming down, if you reached the sign you've gone too far. I passed her twice, even following the pokemon go map. I was about to give up and just happened to look over. You're definitely not going to see her from the road.
This was such a fun sculpture to see. Little boys loved it!
Annabelle is alive well and bright green. There is beautiful Gardens and a geocache nearby.
