“nestled in the heart of big sky country”
Mountain Range RV park is an easy 'on and off' of I-90 at Exit 408. Our park is located just north of the interstate. We are within walking distance of town but far enough away to have a country atmosphere. The park is quiet and has a breathtaking view of the mountains. We are family owned and operated to assure you of a friendly and helpful stay. New, clean, and refreshing to that tired traveler. We have pull-thrus to accommodate the big rigs, laundry facilities and showers. Local attractions include a golf course, river rafting, fishing, horseback riding, city park, tennis courts, swimming pool, public campground, churches, modern hospital, clinic and a nursing home. You will also find an assortment of good eating places.

Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on August 27, 2022Nice place to stop for a break. Clean and friendly but no convenience store or pool etc within the campground. Lots are large and well shaded. Beautiful view. Some noise from highway and trains but nothing too annoying. Mostly nice and quiet. Not quite a basic campground but not quite a resort either. $38 a night. Easy in and out. Pet friendly. Pilot station on other side of highway for easy refueling. Level lots. Good wifi and Antennae TV access. Good cell service. I probably wouldn't camp here for more than a night or two, but for a quick stop and a quick weekend getaway it's a nice place to go if you are not looking for a lot of flashy amenities. I would come back.
$25.00 30 amp site was big enough for a 43 foot toy hauler and 1 ton dually longbed to stay hooked up. They also have 50 amp drive throughs and tent sites. Older showers and bathrooms but they were clean.
Close to freeway . Pilot truck stop across the road.
Arrived at night used the envelope to pay.

Nice enough, but close to highway. Scenery is beautiful but RV park isn’t situated to really see views. $5 discount for good Sam. Electric only for $25.

We stayed here from 8/13/2020 to 8/16/2020. As the many trucks exiting the interstate for the local truck stop they would make a racket downshifting and using their Jake Brakes making for a noisy night. The many trains heading east and west parallel along I-90 were also quite loud at night.
It was very hot and very dry. The grasshoppers were all over the park in swarms. They were also everywhere in town. Columbus is a great little Montana town with the Yellowstone River running right through it affording many recreation opportunities. The park had many shade trees and a lot of long term tenants probably working in the area. The restrooms and showers were very clean, the hosts very friendly and the lots mostly level and graveled. If we were to stay here again we'd go early or late in the summer. The 90' plus heat each day a long with the swarms of grasshoppers made outside activities a challenge.

Just left Billings and didn't want to stay there as it was so congested and pouring down rain. I got to Columbus and pulled off the highway and there it was. People there were very nice and I got a space for one night electric only just in time before it really started storming! Quaint little place to stay over. I didn't use the restrooms so can't say about that. It's right off exit 408. Can't beat the price .Check in was super fast and easy. Didnt have to unhook.

Campground is relatively small and right on the highway. Not as much noise as expected but not quiet. Nice people, decent amenities and FHU pull this but most all roads are dust gravel and it is dry and windy. That combined with vehicles driving thru created some small dust storms. Spots were pretty level but barely got 36' FW and truck in. Oh and watch out for rattlesnakes.
Nothing really close by, Billings is 45 min drive but the town does have a halfway decent grocery store. And still pretty far from the mountains for any sightseeing or hiking.
Att and TMobile both had decent speeds on the peplink

Arrived in the morning on a Sunday with vehicle troubles and Bear (the manager) helped us quickly get into a spot with full hookups. He was a pleasure to do business with, and we would definitely stay here again!

Good Overnight Stay. Laundry Room Was Nice And Clean. Didn’t Get To See The Bathrooms Because You Have To Pay Extra To Use Them. Not Sure I Like That Policy. With Three Of Us In The RV Sometimes It’s Nice To Have An Extra Restroom. Water pressure was low. But All N All, A Good Place To Call It a Night.
