It is a big open field just off of the N Fork Rd. It can accommodate 4 campsites with amply privacy, or probably 50 if you pack them in like a KOA. It is very easy to find and was actually surprisingly quiet despite being on the road.
We saw 3 other campers there when we first arrived, but we moved on to McGinnis Creek. We then stayed here after our stay in the park just because we needed something close and reliable for a late night pit stop.
There is a no shooting sign when you enter, but there were hundreds of bullet shells on the ground.
Cell service is good and you can get some decent TV stations.

@Nomadic_Neighbors gave us the heads up on this site and accurately described it as 'the field of despair'. We tried for the McGinnis Creek Rd. site but it was occupied, and the Blakenship Bridge site, while awesome, was not accessible with our 30' Airstream in tow. So we landed here... access is very easy compared to the others and there is plenty of space for several rigs but we never saw another camper here during our stay.
It's a convenient site for easy access to Glacier NP, Whitefish, and Kalispell. Otherwise it's a big ugly field that was previously used for target shooting (which is posted as prohibited now) with "views" of a burned up patch of forest. It's directly off the highway but noise was never an issue.
There is a flowing well almost exactly 5.5 miles southbound (towards town), we used jugs to transfer this and fill our tank but we do not drink from our tank.
Cell service with Verizon was a stable 2 bars LTE but consistently VERY slow (~500Kbps down, ~1Mbps up).

Searched the area high and low and found few dispersed options for RVs, so settled on this old work site. Decent to explore from and that's it. No shade, no hiking access, no surrounding forest, no scenery. But it was free, fairly level, and quiet at night despite being only a few hundred feet from the paved road. It was full on Aug 1 with several site-seekers driving through so I would not consider it a dependable option in peak season.

The field when we arrived has become a dirt pit for what we assume is the forestry service, but not sure... at 3am and throughout the night we were initiated with dump trucks and dozers working. We were parked near the entrance and I picked up a large hand full of rust 4" nails that we laying on the ground. Needless to say we left the next day for better pasture. On the bright side, we had good cell coverage.

This location is just “okay,” but it’s within driving distance of Glacier National Park and it’s free. We drive a Class A and had no problems getting into the site. The cell service is weak, but we struggled to find any other boondocking sites near Glacier that had any cell service. With our booster on we have been able to work and stream Netflix and Hulu.
There are plenty of other RVs and tents around but during our stay everyone was pretty quiet. Although it’s not the prettiest place we have stayed, it’s a 25 minute drive to the West entrance of Glacier and that makes it worth it for us!

There's not a lot of accessible boondocking with internet access around GNP, but we made this spot work. We were gone most days, spending the majority of our time in GNP. Internet access here is very, very, very hit or miss. On the weekends it's non-existent for both AT&T and Verizon. During the week it's not bad. I was able to catch a signal and do some work, but there were times that the towers were overloaded and there was zero access.
Verizon performed best here. I could never get AT&T above 500kbps.

Overall, this was a decent place to camp for close access to Glacier NP. It’s basically just a big open field with places adequate for tents, vans, campers or big rigs. We’re in a 40’ RV and found a good place along the road that was flat and we could position ourselves so our porch was facing the field. No privacy at all but most people aren’t around much during the day. And it is very quiet at night.
Solid AT&T signal and Verizon phone calls were clear. We found a place down the road on North Fork to fill jugs with fresh spring water. It’s right by the 6 Mile marker. To access the park, you can either drive further up North Fork and turn on Camas Dr (no fee collected at this entrance) or drive to the West Entrance on Hwy 2.
Also, about 1/4 down the road is a great access to the Flathead River. Turn at the Glacier Rim river access sign. There are a few tent camping spots there as well as decent spots for small vans or campers. No big rigs! But awesome day use for kayakers, floaters, or swimmers.

This is a good boon docking area if you are going to be visiting Glacier National Park. It can accommodate any size RV and has easy access off North Fork Road. This location is not far from two park entrances and close to Hungry Horse and Columbia Falls for fuel, groceries, and a laundromat. The site itself is mostly flat and easy to level however it's a field that has very tall overgrown grass in some areas. If the grass wasn't 2 feet tall we would have rated this 4 stars. Sites are spread out around the field with rock fire pits people have made during their stay. The stay length in this location is 16 days. There is some road noise but not enough to become a problem. You can refill with water and dump tanks at some of the local RV Parks for a fee. We were able to refill our water bladder for free at Fish Creek National Park Campground (the only Glacier National Park campground open for the 2020 season) by showing our Access Pass. Garbage dumpsters and recycling is available at the Apgar Visitor Center. The biggest draw is the cell service actually works here. We have AT&T and had 2-4 bars with LTE service, even our AT&T mobile router worked well enough at night to stream Netflix. However during the day the service is much slower so don't expect lightening fast speeds.
