Confirmed by 5 users | Last reported on August 06, 2023We stayed here based on the pictures and information from the web site. We were staying in Colorado Springs to visit a relative or we would not have stayed in a city. This was quite an experience for us since this is not the type of camping we are into. The sites are jam packed in, from three sides of our camper we were with in an arms reach from our neighbors. There was only enough space to park our camper on our site and had to park the truck in the parking lot. There are no camp fire rings, but each site has water, sewer and electric. The showers and bathrooms were clean as well as the grounds overall. A few times a week they sell food in the camp ground. While we were there they had BBQ one night, spaghetti dinner one night and pancake and sausage breakfast one morning (all you could eat for $4).
There is an awesome dog park about 10 minutes away named Bear Creek Dog park. The park is about 25 acres with woods, fields and a creek which were all fenced in.
Rudy's BBQ had great food and was only about 5 minutes away.

This campground is nice and is super close to restaurants, shopping and hiking. The spots are gravel with concrete picnic areas and have bath houses & laundry close by. Although the spots are a little close together... it’s a campground resort so we didn’t expect to have an extra amount of room. The WiFi is good during the day but not at night and has full hook ups with cable. We also called around and this was by far the best rate for a weeks stay.

The Good:
- Great location near Manitou Springs, Pikes Peak, Cheyenne Mountain, Garden of the Gods, etc.
- Pools were very clean and heated!
- Bathrooms/Showers were very clean.
The Bad:
- SO much construction on the road leading into the RV Park. It was noisy, loud, and lots of construction workers actually on the premises.
- You are crammed into these tiny spots with no room to move. Picnic tables were inches from your neighbors sewer line. We felt we were almost forced to stay in our camper.
We used this as our “base camp” and the location was great... but we hated being crammed into such a tiny spot with “neighbors” surrounding us, only inches away on each side.

Yep! Packed in like sardines, or so it felt. Quiet time started at 10 pm, at 11pm the rv er down the row decided it was a good time to vacuum his patio pad. The good: you only need a 5’ sewer hose. Extensive road work at the entrance made it difficult to identify the entrance to the park, and my gps was a bit confused. We were parked at the end of a row, which was nice, I didn’t disconnect from my truck.

This was the worst value we’ve experienced since we began traveling.
It’s safe, but the sites are tight and the park is super meh. Road noise, sites backing up to the run-down neighboring mobile home park, and loud long-term residents. When you combine it with a $67 a night price tag, it’s crazy.
If all you care about is location, it’s an $11 Lyft ride to downtown Colorado Springs for dinner and a quick ride to Garden of the Gods. Nearby Bear Creek Dog Park is absolutely stunning, the best dog park we’ve found.

We had been on the toad all day and decided to stop 2 hours outside of Salida, Colorado where we were headed for the 4th of July. We arrived after hours and found it easy to do after hours checkin with out a reservation. Simple one page form and a board with the available sites. Site was clean and bathroom facilities were clean.

We found this to be a quality place with easy access to Garden of the Gods park. We were pleased with the two nice swimming pools, the large arcade for the kids, and a nice playground. The reservation and check in process were flawless and very professional. And the bathroom facilities were very nice. On the downside, our reason for dropping this to a 4 star, our sites were gravel with no grass, no fire ring, and no trees/shade. As a side note, we had family staying in cabins: one had a studio and had a good experience and another had larger cabin and had a bad experience — didn’t get the cabin they reserved, had super uncomfortable beds and the air conditioner unit did not cool the whole cabin.

I can't remember how many times I've camped here. Started coming here in 1988 with my boys. Kind of cramped, but as far as being close to Garden of Gods it's hard to beat it. Kind of hard to get in and out of, but that's what you get with a RV park in the center of town.

The WiFi/Cable is metered (only so many guests can connect at a time) so be early or don’t count on it. Road warriors beware!
They do have a nice Pet corral for anyone traveling with dogs.
The Pull throughs are set up awkwardly, water sewer not on same side. Bring a long sewer line or face your door toward the street. Not good if traveling with Children or Animals.
Overall just a “3” (since they charge 3 times the average) since their nightly rate is at a Premium but guarantee nothing to work. It’s in their “welcome package”.

We were very disappointed with our visit here. Our site was filthy on arrival and site spaces very close to each other.
