“best quality Rhone varietal wines”
Coeur d’Alene Cellars was founded to create the best quality Rhone varietal wines from the best quality fruit found in the Columbia, Walla Walla and Yakima Valleys of Washington State. Owned by Kimber Gates and her parents, Dr. Charlie and Sarah Gates, and their family, it now produces over 3,400 cases each year and has sixteen current releases. Since its inception in 2002, and with the grand opening of their new facilities, CDA Cellars has had an excellent response to its wines by many industry experts. It is solidly positioned to continue this track record through growth and marketing of its current and future products. Coeur d’Alene Cellars distributes its traditional Rhone varietals throughout Washington, Idaho, and Montana, but they also handcraft unique vintages, blends and vineyard designated Syrahs, reflecting the famous terroir of Columbia Valley vineyards and “the fine art of wine” for which they have become known. These limited offerings are only available through their tasting rooms and wine club channels The state of the art winery is uniquely located in the beautiful community of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, close enough to the award winning vineyards of Eastern Washington to be able to hand harvest fruit in the morning and hand sort it to fermentation tanks before the sun sets.
