“A cool place for shady people”
Steeped in history and lore, the Parkview Niteclub is an eclectic blend of old world charm and modern day cool. Established in 1898 as the L. Schlater Brewing Company, the Parview has gone through more than a few changes over the years. From a speakeasy in the 1920s, to a working man's bar in the 1950's, leading up to the Plonski family's purchase of the place in 1993. By the mid-nineties the Parkview was becoming one of the the premier blues clubs in the area, featuring regional and national acts every Saturday night. The Wednesday Night Jam hosted by the Bad Boys of Blues kicked off in 1996 and holds the title of Cleveland's longest running blues jam. With a menu featuring traditional bar food along with homestyle daily specials, the Parkview has become a lunch time hot spot.
