Great place to grab a bite before heading over to the performing arts building. Casual atmosphere and great food! Read more
Absolutely delicious evening. My sister and I stayed for two whole hours. We enjoyed the evening with many spectacular dishes. The cauliflower was phenomenal and the spices and Mediterranean... Read more
if you love mussels, this is THE spot! Best mussels in all of Cincinnati with several delicious broth options. And its a shame they charge you for bread, because we all know that you MUST have... Read more
The food here is great, it's just super super pricey. It's tapas style, so be prepared to spend a lot. That being said, the food is delicious. Everything tastes fresh and has a unique twist to it. They also have a huge space to accommodate big parties! Read more
I didn't used to like this place as I found it expensive and not that good. I've been back a few times recently though and am happy to say that I've been converted to a fan! It's one of the most spacious restaurants in the neighborhood so can more easily accommodate bigger groups. They have some great salads and the mussels and flat breads are all delicious. Some of the small plate app stuff (like the hamachi crudo) are tiny portions and very pricey, but other than that it's good! Good service, a bit overly-attentive, but overall a solid restaurant experience. Read more
What the table ordered: (3 people) 1 glass of white wine, 3 cocktails, half order of bread, yellow curry mussels, beef crudo small plate, pear & prosciutto pizza (special menu) Cost of entire meal: $88.74 My 2 cents: I've been here a few times now and can't get enough of their menu - the wide variety of mussels is pretty impressive so we typically end up sharing one or two of those with the table. They're sitting in broths from a variety of cuisines...you can have them Thai-style, Mediterranean, New Orleans, you name it. Zula is a pretty swanky spot, so you'll want to dress up a little if you're heading over for dinner. It has a very urban and energetic but chill-at-the-same-time vibe, with some nice low lighting and trendy decor. This last visit we were a little put off at having a helicopter waiter - but we certainly can't complain that he wasn't attentive enough. I'm not sure I'd recommend the pear/prosciutto pizza if you are there when that's still on the menu - it was a little dry and not quite as flavorful as I expected. The mussels, though...did I mention the mussels?? Read more
I tried Zula for the first time last night, and it was nice. I like the atmosphere, and the group I was with was a lot of fun. I had never tried mussels before; I wasn't impressed. I mean... they weren't bad but they didn't taste like much. There really isn't much to eat in a mussel. The sauces, however, were delicious. I really enjoyed the Thai sauce. Wonderful for soaking bread. They have a nice wine list as well, if that's your thing, and an excellent bar. Check it out, if you have the coin. Read more
