The Taco Shack! Known for our homemade Cincy/Mex cooking, Taco Casa has served Cincinnati food lovers for over 45 years. While her husband served in the military, our first owner Polly Laffoon moved from Cincy to Texas where she discovered a vibrant new cooking style. Two years later, Polly returned to Cincinnati with a dream to share her delicious Tex Mex recipes with the Midwest. She opened the first Taco Casa 45 years ago and Midwestern meat and potato eaters couldn’t get enough! Ingeniously, she invented our signature taco salad, tuna boat supreme and burrito boat recipes: Each one a flavorful culmination of Cincy home-style cooking with a Mexican flair. Some of our customers call our cooking CincyMex or AmericanMex. No matter what they call it, they keep coming back. Today, our three Cincinnati restaurants bring in over 4500 customers a week.
