“Shut up and eat your noodles!”
Shanghai in Mama’s day was a exciting, eclectic mix of people, food and culture. China had never seen such an influx of foreigners... and what a group they were. White Russian nobility escaping the Bolshevik revolution, Jewish scholars fleeing pogroms in Europe, and traders of questionable repute from all over the world, came to the city called "Paris of the East" to make their fortune. Gangsters openly ruled and opium was available by room service at all the fine hotels. We’ve taken some liberties with the menu and decor and hope that you appreciate the lure of Shanghai as well. However, should you choose to be one of "those questioning " types, we refer you to what Mama still says: "Shut up and eat your noodles!"
My go-to place to eat after a Reds or Cyclones game. They are open late and always serve delicious food and good sized portions.
the dumplings are very good and the portions are huge, so be prepared to eat!
The BEST late-night food option in Cincinnati. Period. Mama Tao's Chicken is also a staple, and the Potstickers are amazing.
