“the general store of the future!”
Described as the “General Store of the Future” by CityBeat, Park + Vine offers a wide variety of eco-friendly merchandise that minimizes the use of natural resources and animal byproducts. Products include reusable bottles, bags and food carriers, non-toxic cleaning and paint supplies, natural baby and parenting supplies, a growing selection of foodstuff, and lots more.Since our opening in May 2007, we have encouraged people to become more aware of the environmental impacts of their consumption choices through a nice variety of events that, according to CityBeat, show “struggling wannabe-greenies the way to environmental salvation.”
Ohio Valley Beard Oil can change your beard game forever. I decided on a scent called "Darwin" which smells a bit like WD40 and Diesel. It may be the closest thing I could find to Sex Panther, except they use pine needles instead of bits of real panther.
One half is a vegan store with all sorts of bulk, packaged, and frozen vegan food. They also sell a lot of vegan cooking books and random vegan-friendly items. The other half of Park and Vine is a vegan cafe with tons of great options. There are only a handful of tables, but they also have some pre-made sandwiches for the grab-and-go crowd.
Such a fun place to stop in to walk around or grab a bite to eat (vegan style!). Lots of delicious bakery items, and the full menu is amazing! My favorite is the goetta sandwich, perfect at any time. Everyone is so friendly!
Really delicious and healthy vegan option. They make the food with LOVE (=time), so be sure you have a few minutes if you walk in. Not quite as quick as expected, but a great place to relax for a 45 minute lunch during the work week.
Friendly to both the earth and customers. The all-vegan lunch counter is a frequent stop of mine. Highly recommended.
Little local eco/health-focused grocery and shop, and there's a vegan restaurant, too. It seems to take them awhile to make your food, but I'm always pretty happy with it. There's a good grilled cheese with apple butter, and a reuben-type sandwich with their excellent vegan goetta.
a useful store in OTR that has food, clothing, groceries, coffee, etc. Also has an environmentally-friendly aspect to it that fits in (doesn't feel forced). This just feels like an OTR spot, in all the right ways
Homemade kombucha on tap and indulgent vegetarian sandwiches (try the grilled cheese)! Park + Vine is a my lunch time favorite. Great atmosphere--tucked away and sunny. Great goods and products as well. :)
This place has the best vibes on Main Street. I come here way too often for the Kitchen Sink (their name for a deliciously substantive grilled cheese). Get it with some classic Cincy goetta and you won't be sorry. They also sell Kombucha and refrigerated drinks to your hearts content - including local brews! My favorite part: you can sit next to a terrarium on a sunny bar and enjoy the good goods.
In my opinion the best place to grab a really healthy lunch in the area. Pretty delicious, not too expensive ($7 a sandwich). It's also a little grocery / shop - they sell mostly very pretty, kind of pricey accessory type stuff.
