“still making history”
One hundred years ago this corner was purchased by John J. Kelley, for $750, to start up J.J. Kelley’s Saloon! (The photos in our foyer show us how it looked back then.) After Emma Kelley inherited the corner in 1928, the Kelley sisters ran Kelley’s Corner Market until 1970. Many Glendalians still remember stopping in for penny-candy after school. After the last of the Kelley’s passed on, the Grand Finale building stood empty & “haunted” until the spring of 1975. this place is definitely past it's prime of being one of the best and fanciest restaurants in town. but they still offer some tasty menu options and their deserts are what they brag about, so be sure to try them out!
