“Oldest locally-owned coffeehouse in Cincy”
Since 1973 Coffee Emporium has been dedicated to bringing fresh perspectives to the craft of traditional artisan roasting and coffee and espresso preparation. As the oldest locally owned coffeehouse in the city, we are committed to seeking out the best coffees from all over the world. We believe that the way to ensure the greatest quality and achieve the greatest good is to bring control of the process to the local level; which is why we buy many of our coffees direct from the farmers at above market prices, roast the beans ourselves, and supply customers with only fresh, locally made pastries and lunches. We believe our fate is intertwined with the neighborhoods in which we live and work. We know that when a person enters one of our locations, they are making an active choice to support us over others.
Coffee Emporium is one of the long standing coffee shops in Cincinnati. I remember visiting when the shop was half the size and the roaster took up a good quarter of the shop.
Given the location and size, it's a great place to hang out or meet people in downtown and OTR. Due to popularity, I don't count on the wifi holding up.
I consider it borderline third wave -- almost everything is legit but you'll still occasionally find a flavored roasted coffee and the cappuccino matches more of Starbucks than the traditional drink of thirds. For that reason I tend to get one of their great coffees, roasted in house, or a mocha extra espresso. Their mocha is excellent.
If you're looking for a pastry, try a vegan coffee cake!
Coffee Emporium is a great coffee shop. Located right on the border between downtown and OTR, the place is very open with tables of all sorts of sizes--perfect for doing work individually or for meeting up with friends. Their selection of coffee and food is extensive, and their chicken salad sandwich is delicious. Awesome music selection too.
So many delicious options and so much space to enjoy them! They have an awesome selection of cold drinks. After my first time here I've vowed to become a regular. What I love most about Coffee Emporium is the spacious ambiance. You really can set up camp without feeling crowded or rushed.
My neighborhood coffee shop, just a block away from home. I stop by here almost daily for a coffee and a quick snack. Sometimes I'll come here and work for a few hours too, it's a big space and very friendly to people who sit there working for several hours.
Great place if you're looking for a healthy delicious lunch, and the coffee is great too. The entire place has a great vibe, and food gets to you fast and fresh.
This is the best coffee shop in the city, hands down. It's got a great place to sit down and relax, knock out some work on your laptop, or even grab lunch. They've got a great list of daily specials, and of course, the coffee is fantastic. Be warned - this place is not Starbucks, so you're getting REAL coffee here, not that overly-sweeted, artificially-flavored stuff you might be used to. Make sure you grab the iced coffee. It's cold-brewed, which makes a hell of a difference!
Great coffee spot in Cincinnati, serve the typically coffee shop drinks as well as breakfast and lunch options.
Love coffee emporium, it's the quintessential neighborhood coffee shop with quick, friendly service and a really eclectic crowd. Great place.
The black bean burger here is delicious! They are partnered with farms all over the world and roast their coffee beans in house. A really cool business, doing really cool things for the environment,
Their cold brew coffee is the best in Cincinnati! So delicious and full of flavor. They always spell my name correctly on my cups so that's also a plus.
