“a unique & romantic bar”
The Blind Lemon opened May 21, 1963. Then Cincinnati Reds Manager Fred Hutchinson and Cincinnati Mayor Walton H. Bachrach were in attendance. Through the years many famous guests have stopped in to visit. Autographed pictures from entertainers such as the Smothers Brothers, and Crosby, Stills and Nash plaster the walls, alongside gold and platinum records from the likes of Michael Jackson and Anne Murray. Hundreds of antique and toy cars, trucks, airplanes, pocket watches and other assorted collectibles have been added over the years. Please stop up on the hill and have a drink with us and take in the atmosphere of Cincinnati's most unique and romantic bar.
Awesome drink menu, awesome back patio, always fun live musicians. This is my go-to place in Mount Adams and I love taking people here when they come to visit. Everyone loves that you slip into the bar by ducking down some stairs.
The decor is also fun and interesting. The bathrooms are small but I think that's the worst thing I can say about this place.
I asked the waitress for a not-sweet drink with bourbon in it and ended up with an orange juice drink made with Bacardi 151. Truth is, it was delish, but that's not really what I was going for? The vibe here is VERY underground. Good for dates and winter nights, although they have a fire in a back courtyard they light up in the early spring, so it's fun to get outside.
If you have guests come in from out of town (and it's nice outside), take them here for the outdoor live music. You won't be disappointed. And be sure to take some time to look around inside the establishment. It's quirky and amazing.
Very cozy, underground bar. The live music is always great too! This place just has the greatest vibe. You have to experience it to fully understand... Definitely my favorite place for drinks in Cinci.
Great for winter, awesome warm drinks, but you can sit outside in the summer. The decor is so awesome, it's really hard to describe. And live music! Only downside is that the joint is pretty small. It's the ultimate hidden gem!
Smaller hole-in-the-wall kind of feel, but the word is getting out. Go on an off night though, and it's a really nice place to chill and have a few drinks.
I went here in January and got a deliciouuus spice-y buttered rum. The place is underground and I felt a little like I was in lord of the rings. There was a guy playing live music as well. All around fun little place to check out.
One of my favorite bars in Ohio! This is a Mt. Adams nook that feels like a historical gem. There's a back garden with a huge fire pit and plenty of seating but the inside is teeny tiny with low ceilings and stone walls. Mugs hanging everywhere you look and the kind of place where if a xmas toy train ran across your table you wouldn't be surprised. It's cocktail bar only with some pretzels. Live music on the weekends seems to be pretty scheduled. Acoustic reggae on Friday early nights, acoustic Beatles (good stuff) late night Fridays. I dressed in a hoodie and felt underdressed but not judged :) Plenty of older people with some money to spend on cocktails feel good coming to this place, and on a low key night, the chances that you'll meet a very interesting human by the fire outside is high.
One of the most tolerable bars in Mt. Adams. It feels like a classy dive bar, with especially good hot alcoholic drinks.
