Chula Vista is a very neat, clean, well-run RV resort with the feel of a suburban subdivision (this is either good or bad depending on how you feel about suburban subdivisions). It is a very popular spot with families and retirees, with lots of dog walking and bike riding on the streets during the day. The management schedules weekly events like Friday night happy hour, Saturday morning coffee and donuts, etc. around the pool if you are so inclined. Chula Vista has the amenities you would expect of such a resort: 24 hr laundry, gym, store, pool, dog run, etc.

Chula Vista is easily accessible off the 5, about 20 south of downtown San Diego (Petco Park, San Diego Zoo). The resort overlooks San Diego Bay and is bordered by Bayside Park so the sunsets are spectacular if you have a bayside site. We had good satellite and T-Mobile network connectivity here.

We loved the park. We were close to Imperial Beach, San Diego, Mission Beach, Little Italy. We got the coastal breezes and had a great place to walk on the Bay each night we didn't spend on the beach elsewhere. I worked during the day and their maintenance occasionally got noisy. Nights were ALWAYS quiet. They use Tengo Internet which was a problem for my company VPN so I ended up using an aircard (Verizon) and MIFI. We found limited dining choices in Chula Vista but there is a marina restaurant within the resort/marina area. Otherwise, we took our dining business to SD or Coronado Beach. They did charge extra for electrical and requested that showers be kept to 5 minutes. While there, they had a vintage trailer show, a car show (on the bay) and welcomed multiple groups. The have happy hours, live music and other activities for those so inclined. We had a nice time. It is rather like a suburb, but, happily, in Southern California!

We wouldn't normally stay in such a tightly packed, big-rig "parking lot", but we were meeting up with family and friends for a holiday weekend. I would hardly call it camping - I don't think I've ever seen spots so tight - but it's very clean, and the staff is friendly. We had some of the only kids in the park!

It's right on the marina, with a great pool/spa. There's a beautiful park and playground just outside the gated resort. It's in great proximity to downtown San Diego too.

It certainly was not a bad experience, just expensive and actually a little too luxury for us!

We had some engagements in San Diego for a month and couldn't get into Mission Bay due to their trailer age restrictions and campland was full. Chula Vista was our 3rd choice, but it's not a bad place to stay. Downtown is 15-20 min away and the amenities are nice. We definitely brought the median age down while we were here, but everyone was very personable to us. The camp wifi allegedly works, but I never got it going. AT&T and Verizon both show decent signal but speeds are slow. (2-4mbps)

This RV resort definitely lives up to its name. A very ritzy, clean, classy place with 24/7security and completely gated in - we quickly came to realize why the price was so high per night. The pool temperature was nice, and the hot tub felt great. The location is FANTASTIC, right on the water - and a quick 5 minute walk to watch the amazing sunsets, a fun playground, beach and water with a huge shallow ocean area to play and swim in if you have little ones. I read in another review that there is no beach access, but this is incorrect- there are several beaches and places to swim in the ocean right by the park. The resort also has a grassy area with fun swing chairs which is also a nice place to hangout!

We paid the extra money to be on the water (we brought our 11 month old who naps a lot and we wanted to be able to enjoy the view while she was out), and that was worth it. Site #61 had an awesome view of the marina (and all of the crazy pokemon players who were frequenting the front of our site, even reaching their arms through our fence to play - awkward!). We strategically didn’t back our 32ft 5th wheel in all the way so we could sit behind it and look out at the boats, which worked perfectly. I don’t think the extra money would be worth it though if you were on the west side of the park, as it’s really a view of a roadway, parking lot and very squeaky and loud playground. Each site is also made very private by a row of tall bushes, half of ours though were HUGE hangout area for bees, so we couldn’t get into our storage areas when they were out which was a bit annoying at times - and were a bit on guard when sitting outside enjoying the view. There are no fire pits at the individual sites, but we did see a lot of people who brought their own and had little fires going - genius!

The overall clientele seemed to be of retirement age, not many kids around when we stayed it was very quiet overall - but there is a very nice large park and playground right outside the gate with lots of families and kids.

Overall, fantastic place to stay if you want a nice, relaxing, safe spot where you can walk along the (short) boardwalk, hang out at the beach, swim in the pool or hot tub, walk up the street to restaurants without ever having to step foot back in a vehicle. The staff members were very friendly and helpful - we will definitely come back!!

Loved staying here. Right on the water. No real beach, but great walking path around the marina. This resort is not in a great area, even thought the resort is lovely. Nice showers, nothing fancy. Little workout area - also not fancy. Great pool area, hangout area with gliding picnic tables. Lots of activities, we were there for Christmas and they did a potluck. Wifi was terrible. Didn't work at all.

Wow! Can say enough. Super clean, felt secure. Awesome pool, laundry, onsite social activities. Level concrete pads. This is a top quality RV resort. Everything is clean and perfectly maintained. They are constantly picking up trash and monitoring. Only downside is the sites are a little small and there is no extra parking really at the site, and it’s extra to use a guest space. We ended up with one of our kids getting sick and asked to stay an extra night. The staff rearranged the reservations so we could stay and not switch sites which were grateful for. We will be back. Love love love this place. Excellent cell and WiFi.

We last stayed here with our grandkids almost 5 years ago. Midweek, during the summer, it was just 'too active' for us. Midweek, early May, it was much more my style. The resort, and it is that, has a variety of sites. Those that back up to the bay, also back up to a public access area that can get very noisy. There are some excellent pull-thru's that would allow motorhome views of the marina. We'll use these next fall. This time we used an offered discount to stay in back-ins along a side road. Noise was not an issue. Our previous stay with the grandkids utilized one of the interior back-in sites that put our 37' triple slide Class A way too close to our neighbors. As the reader can infer, a lot of different site options are available at this beautiful resort.

very expensive for this time. It is all clean. the playground outside rhe area is ok for children, the resort has none. but the area is fantastically beautiful along the ocean. In front of the resort is a huge construction site. in 15 minutes you have arrived the metro, in another 15 minutes you are in downtown. the resort is lovely for dog owners, but for kids there is better resort like koa for example. I would come back, but not for that price anymore and only when I got older:)

Wifi ist very very fast
