Confirmed by 4 users | Last reported on September 02, 2021Nice little KOA just off of the interstate. The facilities were very clean and the people friendly. Each tent site has a wind barrier which you will need. It got VERY windy at night. The campground also has a really nice covered shared outdoor cooking space with 8 stove burners, a microwave, picnic tables, and plenty of electric outlets. I was very impressed.
Easy access on/off I-80, easy to spot from interstate. Pilot station 1/4 mile away going to/from park. Clean crushed rock sites, several shade trees but many without shade. Easy pull through with plenty of room to navigate. Facilities are modern and very clean. Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Major shopping/dining within 10 miles with I-80 or backroad (read ‘GPS’) access. WiFi worked well at outer fringe of park...
This KOA is off the highway and easy to get to. It’s really clean and has a small common kitchen area to prep meals. Has a pool, park and mini golf for kids to play. If you need some where to set up a tent and rest your head, I would highly recommend this place.
Out of all the KOAs we've ever visited (all of 3), this was the best one. The sites are wide and level, there are amenities like a nice laundry room and bathroom, and it was super easy to get in and out.
It's near the interstate, but we didn't hear it. It's also on the outskirts of town, so it's easy to get your shopping done, with the benefit of not being in the thick of the city.
We just overnighted here, so I can't speak much to what it's like to stay for a while, but we had an agreeable stay and would stop here again.

How do you rate a KOA when they almost all seem the same? Well, this one has big sites which are gravel and the camp hosts are extremely accommodating and friendly. Bathrooms and Laundry were clean. The other big thing I noticed is that if it is not busy, they will try and space the trailers apart between spaces. Overall experience was great.

Like many KOAs, it’s basically a very large parking lot, but a pleasant parking lot at that. A few generally small trees spaced throughout. Easy pull-through sites, tho no real markings, can be a negative when someone has their rig pulled far out into what should clearly be a driving lane. Owners pleasant and accommodating. Pool in early July warm and clean. Showers small but clean and limitless hot water, so 5 stars there. Had to stop several days for decent internet to work and very good Verizon coverage. Also WIFi during non-peak times 10-15 MBPS down, so adequate. Just off I-80 so there is definitely constant road noise when you are outside.

Had a great end of the row pull thru site for our RV (F350 4dr full box with 33’ 5th wheel). We had full hook ups and great free WiFi. Hosts were great with a well stocked little store. Got here late so wasn’t able to use pool or mini golf. I’d definitely stay here again.

Stayed for two nights during a stopover between Custer, SD and Colorado Springs, CO. The entire RV section of the campground is gravel with fairly level sites, but the borders of the campground have grass and bushes for walking your dogs. And quite a few rabbits and prairie dogs (at least while we were there): I joked with the staff that those should be listed as amenities for canine guests. There is a typical KOA fenced in dog park but it’s fairly small.
In addition to the standard playground and pool, the campground also has the smallest mini-golf course I’ve ever seen, a basketball hoop, and a horseshoe pit.
The cell service was decent. I got 14Mbps down and 15Mbps up with my Verizon hotspot and MIMO antenna, while my AT&T phone was getting 25Mbps down and 5Mbps up. I did see the Verizon bandwidth drop as the campground filled up: the campground was pretty full both nights we were there.
The highway is visible from the campground so there is road noise, but it wasn’t bad. There are a few trees here and there, but otherwise there is no shade, so it can get quite warm in the summer.
