Beautiful site loaded with trees right on the river. At least some of them. We booked for a back in 32’ on the river and it was literally on the river, less than 20’ door to waters edge. Site was well spaced, with picnic bench and fire pit. The grounds offer all sorts of amenities yet at the same time it didn’t disturb us - at our location - since we are less about pools and golf carts and really wanted something that felt “in nature”. Great location too. We are absolutely it interested in PF or Gatlinburg side of things so this offered the less traveled path. They sell firewood ice etc on site but they close by at 8 so make sure you have that figured out in advance! Staff is friendly and accommodating. Appreciated being guided to our site and help packing in. We got to site around 10pm on a Saturday. Lots to do for kids and families - all in one spot too if this is destination enough for you!

The campground itself is well kept. We stayed in a 5th wheel so we didn’t check out the bathrooms. The pool wasn’t open yet; neither was the grill. (We stayed in late April) The indoor pool seemed ok but we didn’t go in because the chlorine was too strong for the kids. The jumping pillow was fun for kids though. We rented a golf cart for about $60/day. We probably didn’t need to, but I had an injury and couldn’t walk much. The laundry room was small but ok; it only takes quarters. We stayed in a back-in site on the river. Very nice spot with lots of people fishing right from the sites. There is NO CELL SERVICE and VERY LIMITED WiFi. It is stronger near the main check in. Make sure you follow the directions on the website as some of the roads are winding to tow. My parents stayed in a cabin, and while they are nice, they weren’t cleaned very well.

Not a best idea to stay on July 4th weekend. We stayed on a cabin. Not adequate bathroom for the amount of people stayed in the campground. Kids will probably love this place due to amount of activity they offer.

Cabin was comfortable with a great view. The campground management caused me not one but two problems in my 3 day stay. First they gave my reserved cabin to someone else, they did do their best to straighten it out even if my family and dog had to wait in the hot car For an hour. Since they put me in a different cabin they marked where I was staying as vacated and sent housekeeping who proceeded to take things we had on the porch. Had the cabin not been locked I fear they would have taken all we had inside. I guess I could say the place isn’t very well run. Really not major issues but easily the worst KOA experience I have ever had. When you spend $500 for three nights you just expect a bit better.

We stayed there last week of March. Staff was super friendly. One night the temperature went into the 20’s and everyone’s water hoses froze. Staff was there helping folks out, getting them to defrost the next day.

Cell service is almost nonexistent but that’s expected since your in the middle of a mountain range.

They even have an indoor heated pool, so kids loved it.

First day here and really like it. The sites are too close to each other but now that is the norm. We are at site 180 and get good reception to KOA WiFi. Our dogs loved the clean creek. Cell reception is a bit limited. 2 bars with Verizon. A lot to do for kids. Will definitely visit again since it is close to Atlanta.

Employees were very nice. Older campground and they are doing major upgrades. Only problem is the cable hookup is to close to the ground and in an awkward position. Had to lay lay on the ground in the rain to hook up. Olde people don’t bend well. Lol.

This place has rules on noise, occupancy, golf cart usage, etc. but they don’t police it. As a result, you get people putting three tents on a pitch with half a dozen adults and numerous kids making noise at all hours. The receptionist tried to argue they had no such rules, but they are clear on the website. The tent pitches are small and muddy, bathrooms inadequate for the number of pitches and not cleaned often enough, and the cabins look really sad and scruffy. The store is okay, though. The pool was closed when we went.
