“Choose from over 100 Campsites”
Chenango Valley State Park is an ice age wonder. Its two kettle lakes, Lily and Chenango, were created when the last glacier retreated and left behind huge chunks of buried ice which melted to form the lakes and bog. Birdwatchers may glimpse woodpeckers, nut hatches, warblers and thrushes along woodland trails and herons, ducks and kingfishers lakeside. Fishermen will find trout, bass, perch and bullhead in Chenango Lake. Campers can choose from among 184 campsites and 24 cabins and golfers will appreciate the 18-hole Chenango Valley State Park Golf Course. Sledding and cross-country ski trails attract visitors in winter.

I come here at least once every year. Sometimes noisy on the weekends with more kiddos. But very quiet during the week. Electric only but very reliable.

Camped with family in July. Park very full but not over crowded. Beach area is great for kids of all ages. Two shallow roped areas and an area with diving board and slide for older kids. There is even a great splash pad for the very young. Several great and well trained lifeguards around all areas. Restrooms and showers dated but clean and functional.

Chenango Valley is a great park. Although NYS rules with the COVID are limiting things, still great just for camping. New dumping/fresh water station with 2 lanes. Just an overall good experience

We stayed in the Sunrise loop. Very big lot 25. Trees between sites for privacy. Paved roads easy for biking, we kayaked and fished the bigger lake. You have to carry your kayak quite a ways to the launch site though.
Beach and kiddy water park area.
Busy picnic areas
Nice clean, private toilet/ shower rooms!
Golf course and diner in park too but we didn’t visit. Lots a walking trails

A nice park with a couple of loops. We stayed in Chipmunk, and had electric only. Several places for drinking water around the loop. Bathrooms were dated but clean. We had good AT&T and Verizon service. Some sites have better spacing than others. Almost all were shaded and back-in sites. Surface was dirt or dirt/gravel. A nice lake with canoes for rent and a very small beach area.

Stayed one night; Oct 4th 2021. Very nice level space, clean showers and restroom, and very quiet on a weekday. It's a huge park with good walking, hiking etc.
Price of $33 included a $7.50 reservation fee plus $5 for out of state vehicle. Worth every penny.

Large campsites. Bathrooms are fairly clean. Staff was friendly.
LOVE this park. It has 50 amp electric but no water or sewer. Big sites. Decent bath houses. Not free but cheap.
