Neighborhood Theatre

Originally built as a movie theater in 1945 (Astor Theatre) closed in the late 70s, Neighborhood Theatre underwent restoration in 1997 and was converted into a live performance venue.  Neighborhood Theatre is a live music venue hosting local and national acts. We are located in NoDa, Charlotte’s historic arts district, filled with restaurants, shops and bars.  Neighborhood Theatre is the perfect setting to see a show from an old favorite or to discover a new band that energizes and excites you. Neighborhood Theatre is under new management as of March 2013 and will continue to have the diverse line up of acts as it has in the past 13 years. Neighborhood Theatre has been under construction: we have installed a new bar and renovated the bathrooms; new paint throughout the venue, new stage curtain and Big A** Fan;  and a new stage on the Turntable side. We have more renovations and improvements to come over the year. We welcome you to come and enjoy live music with us.
