Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on May 01, 2023I had so much fun here with my family. There are many rides that are perfect for family. Me and my family had a dare on who's brave enough to ride the Carowinds Roller Coaster. And so, me and brother are the only one who take the ride and it was awesome! It was very heart pounding. It'll make you scream out loud.
It doesn't mention it above but there is also a small water park included here so bring a towel and swimsuit.
will consider, depends on Dario
Had a great stay here over the weekend while going to Carowinds. Decentl park with exactly what you would expect for an Amusement park Campgrounds. Nice well stock park store, unground pool. $55 a night with full hook ups if you have Season pass at Carowinds. Similarly priced with Good Sam’s. Ofcourse you can hear Carowinds park which is to be expected. Close to the Charlotte airport so you will get some low flying planes. Overall I have been happy with this park.

We were looking for a campground close to Charlotte with full hookups and large sites, and Carowinds fit the bill perfectly. The sites were actually a little larger than I'd expected, with plenty of grass between sites and trees throughout the campground (it looked more like a county park would look). It rained during most of our stay, and some sites were more flooded than others... in fact, the camping area of the site we were assigned was under a couple inches of water so they let us pick a different site which worked out better. The park is dog-friendly and we found plenty of places to walk ours. The campground has an RV section, tent section, and cabin section, all slightly separated from each other. It's a short drive to many stores and restaurants in the area. The free WiFi worked quite well for us, but being December the campground was mostly empty which likely contributed to the good performance. Verizon and AT&T also worked well. There was some noticeable highway noise all day long but it was not too bad. The campground is literally on the NC/SC border (the state border divides Carowinds in half), and gas in SC is around 30 cents cheaper per gallon, so it pays to figure out which direction to drive when exiting the campground to fill up! We'd stay here again when visiting Charlotte.

Nice large sites, clean and excellent wifi. This park is a little pricy for what you get, but we did not find any other campgrounds in the immediate area that had any vacancies. Another annoying factor is that they are listed as a Good Sam park, but did not give us a discount. They charge extra for pull thru's which we did not pay and the back ins were very easy to get into, so not worth paying the extra charge. That is the reason we did not give an all star rating. That being said, it is a very nice park with easy access to all attractions and shopping. The staff is wonderful, we had our mail forwarded from home to this park and they delivered to our door when it arrived instead of just calling.

The office, pool and bathroom building were in good condition. The asphalt roads and sites were in good condition and most were reasonably level but very dirty. The landscaping between sites was in poor condition, almost dirt with grass thin. Good AT&T service, poor wifi. Check-in was easy. Park was mostly empty except for 30ish RV of those appear to live there.

We were passing through for a trade show and picked the spot as it was 15 min from our event. Great place. Clean, well designed and maintained. The adjacent amusement park is closed due to Covid but i bet it is a blast to stay here when it is open. Wooded perimeter so you feel you are away from the city. Drawbacks: very few- we were invaded by ants but they came and went( could happen anywhere), the roads between the sites we a bit tight- it did not effect us as the park was not full but it could be a problem in peak season.
