We lucked out. The other party canceled at the last minute, so we got a private tour. Kudos to Eric for going ahead with the tour even though it was just the two of us.
I’ve lived in SC all my life and never knew how pirates helped shaped Charleston and our state. Eric does a lot of research and shares it in a very interesting and entertaining way. We never got bored.
He dresses the part, but don’t expect him to be too theatrical. Being a pirate was more of a business, not a Hollywood movie. Learn why during the tour.
I don’t want to “...let the cat out of the bag,” so I’ll stop at this.
Great tour! It’s well worth the money and a great way to spend two hours walking around historic Charleston.
The kids practice sword drills and make their very own pirate flags during our search for treasure in White Point Gardens, where little pirates can safely run and play. This tour even includes fun souvenirs: swords, treasure, maps, balloon parrots, and pirate flags! At one hour long, it's the perfect time length for kids. Adults, as well as the kids, will enjoy the history and pirate trivia we share on the tour.
Admission to the Powder Magazine Museum is included.
