We are currently closed for the season. We are only open in the summer months and will be opening again summer 2016! Hope to see you then!Origami means “folding paper” in Japanese. Origami in the Garden tells the story of this art form through a collection of over 20 monumental outdoor sculptures. It is currently exhibiting at the Turquoise Trail Sculpture Garden, just 10 miles south of Santa Fe. Each sculpture is inspired by a blank piece of paper that has been transformed into museum quality metal and tells the story of creativity and the art of making something out of nothing. The collection was created by artist Kevin Box and includes his own compositions as well as collaborative works with his wife Jennifer and origami masters Robert J. Lang, Te Jui Fu, Michael G. LaFosse and Richard L. Alexander. The Turquoise Trail Sculpture Garden is a private residence nestled in the Little Garden of the Gods on Highway 14, a National Scenic Byway. With towering rock formations encompassing the three acre sculpture garden, visitors meander through a distinct southwest landscape discovering sculpture along the way. The environment creates a dramatic backdrop for this exhibition of stark contrast and unexpected harmony. The relationship between the white clouds and the predominately white artwork evokes a sense of lightness and peace.
