The Blue Pelican Inn

The Blue Pelican Inn is also quite haunted! Ghosts are said to have taken up residence here since the 1950s. Spirits here include a man and woman in late-1920s to early-1930s clothing, sometimes seen dancing together in the bar with a little girl ghost watching. The ghosts also are said to peep into the second-floor windows. Some folks here will tell a tale of a former owner’s daughter who was killed after falling down the stairs as she was preparing to elope. Her ghost is said to walk the hallways wearing the wedding dress. Another former owner, Mrs. Gill, also is said to haunt the place. She passed away in an upstairs bedroom there and has been seen in the upstairs window looking out onto the town.
