“Victorian Charm with a homey feel!”
The J.K. Metzker House was built in the 1860's by William Cressler, one of the founders of Cedarville. The Victorian charm has been preserved without losing the homey feel of this cozy, friendly house. The house sits back from Main Street, with beautiful gardens front and back and a small creek in the back garden. The peace and quiet of Cedarville is the perfect atmosphere for guests to unwind, or rest from their days out hiking or just sightseeing in beautiful Surprise Valley and the Warner Mountains. The front porch is the perfect place to sit in the shade and watch the townspeople, ranchers, farmers and even the occasional cattle-drive go by. The J.K. Metzker house is the jewel of Cedarville, with access to all the attractions of this rural area, with its clean, clear mountain air and flowing waters. We supply mountain-bikes for our guests to enjoy the full experience of our town on the edge of the Great Basin, where the deer and the antelope really do play, where cowboys still ride horses and everybody waves and smiles at you, stranger or not.
