Permanent natural history exhibits feature items from shells to mastodon bones; African mammals to Peruvian textiles. Changing exhibits highlight a variety of cultural and international themes. In 2010-2011; exhibits will include "Object as Subject: Artists Explore the Museum's Collection;" and "Plant Adaptation." Call ahead to visit the Marshall Center School; a restored 1893 one-room schoolhouse with original furnishings; textbooks; and costumes. First-person interpretation available by request for groups.
