Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on January 07, 2023We stopped here for lunch 2 yrs ago on a cross country trip and I vowed we would come back to camp and enjoy another meal. We arrived on a Monday and were told restaurant closed but open Tuesday. Went to office the next morning to get menu on Tuesday advising I was looking forward to dinner to go. Was given a menu And told restaurant is closing on Friday. Menu said dinner items available after 5. I arrived at 5 and was told restaurant was closed although 2 parties were still dining! OH well. Campground itself was great with mixture of seasonal, Park models, tents and motorhome. Nice beach area. Clean bath and shower rooms, private. Fire pit had a fair bit of garbage in it. Fair rain drainage at site. Sewer connection onsite Broken so weighted hose to assure no splash.

First, be sure to not get Stony Point Resort and Campground confused with Stony Point Campground!! They are 47 minutes apart! Once I realized I am in wrong place, I called to get correct address (off of Hwy 2E).
I liked this place and wished I had more time to relax and hang out. Restaurant has awesome burgers, there’s a lounge, and hours were great. Little shop for trinkets to buy. But the lake and swimming was awesome. There were water rafts for some kid-play. Nice sandy beach with chairs. RV sites were plenty long, and not too close, and tall pine trees shade you. Fishing must be good because I saw several boats come back mid-morn.
