Very friendly staff and clean! We camped in the water/electricity spots, we won't do that again bc you are just separated by a fence to the next people camping. It was also kind of expensive in my opinion but it was a very nice campground overall.
We tent camped there for one night. The lady working the front desk when we checked in was Michelle. She is a super friendly and helpful person. She refused to take a phone call until she finished helping me, so when you are there they treat you like the most important person.
The site is pretty windy until the sun goes down, but that is pretty much all of New Mexico. The pool is pristine, and the restrooms/showers and super clean! There is plenty of places to walk you pets. Also, there is a coy pond with a bench too. The bench has horse shoe cup holders on each side, clever!
We had the beef and pork sandwiches for dinner that night and they were delicious. There were experimenting with spicy mustard on the pork sandwiches. Try is you will like it, I know I did and was pleasantly surprised. All-in-all a great KOA with a great staff.
basic, and a little overpriced compared to other koas
This was a very clean and friendly campground. We used it as a base camp to go see Carlsbad Caverns. It's about 45 minutes from the caverns and 15 minutes from Carlsbad. Given the choices, this park is worth the drive. Not only is the camp friendly and accommodating but it has a nice pool, recreation room, store, and laundry facilities. Plenty of space in sites and a nice place to stay.
The campground was very clean and the staff was very friendly. We did not stay long enough to enjoy the amenities, such as the pool or food services, but we would stay here again.
$39
Quiet, peaceful, better than any other place youre going to find around this area. PS avoid the walmart in Carlsbad, if possible.
A little expensive, and almost an hour from Carlsbad Caverns, but a very well run, helpful park.
The drought has taken its toll on this park. It is very brown and dry, trees are dying, so little or no shade. Permanent residents and workers have taken up the sites with the best shade and greenery. Upkeep on the sites is just ok. Noticed leaky plumbing at one site. Wood work is worn. Poor wifi, which is a disappointment. Hook ups are ok.
We only had one night but was delighted to be here! The folks working there were friendly and happy! The cactus were blooming and the ground well kept! I do love the desert so would love to come back!!
