Would not stay here. Booked our reservations and something happened beyond our control. We had no choice but to cancel a month in advance. Hotel refused to refund all money. Promised phone call after phone call from the owner. Owner apparently feels a bad review outweighs the importance of a phone call to discuss the situation with me. Very unprofessional.
This was a wonderfully relaxing hot spring. The gravel bottom feels so nice on my feet snd the different seating areas and temperatures in he pool make it very comfortable. The facilities are clean, the staff very friendly and several options for lodging or day use.
The night sky was amazing to look at while soaking.
Awesome place. The pond is so nice. The staff are friendly. The camp kitchen was really useful and the bathhouse is clean and nice. I like the campy feel.
Crane Hot Springs is located in the High Desert area of southeast Oregon. Sunny days, low humidity and cool nights are the common weather pattern. The average annual precipitation is under 12 inches, with about 1/3 falling in the form of snow. There are 260 sunny days per year, with a wide range of daily temperatures. Frost is common during any month.
We love hot water, and it had been too long since we had a soak. We spotted this option up ahead on our route and decided to give it a try. The campground itself is kinda sparse and basic. But the hot springs are wonderful. A big gravel based pond with temperatures that vary throughout the day, there’s plenty of room for everyone. They even leave the pond open at night for their onsite guests. We only stayed here two nights, but they were magical nights spent soaking and gazing at the stars. This spot is on our must return list.
I've traveled all over the world and whenever I think of a place that brings me peace, tranquility, relaxation, and a stillness I think of these hot springs. We stayed in a large semi-furnished teepee with an old vintage-looking washbasin inside, which you can fill up using water from the hot springs that runs through a pipeline to the tub. You can rent pool noodles for your kids to enjoy the springs as well. Somewhat of a distance to get out here from the nearest town, but so worth it. The landscape especially at sunrise and sunset was gorgeous. Would love to come back!
