Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on July 04, 2023Arrival experience was good, the attendant was friendly and efficient. We did have a difficult time trying to find somewhere to park to check in. We drove around a little bit and then eventually just stopped at the spot we had been assigned before we checked in. The lots are relatively small, we had a difficult time trying to find a place to park our F-150 when we set up our 22-ft travel trailer. All of the amenities were working, electric, cable, water, sewer. The pool was well maintained and was a good size. As we walked around the resort, some of the spots had brand new fire pits and great picnic tables. Tables. Our spot had an older steel fire pit that needed some work, and the picnic table needed some work. We have T-Mobile and had excellent service.

We are season pass holders at SDC so we receive a discount on our camping here at the campgrounds. The last time we camped here we have a significantly shorter rig. I will tell you out of the gate that this place can be tight for big rigs BUT it’s definitely doable and not the worst we’ve navigated.
We stayed in the far side of the campground which seems more big rig friendly. The sites are larger and the pull through sites were pretty easy to navigate. We checked in, crossed the narrow road connecting the two areas, and our site was 87. We took the “right side” road and made the circle at the end of the loop. My husband was able to pull right in with very little problems. We had plenty of room for our slides - and it was easy to reach the hookups without extra extension. The playground was right out our front door and the comfort station right next to it. Some people used our picnic table as there was not more than one bench at the playground.
Leaving was a bit more challenging. We pulled straight out which was fine but once you cross the narrow road next to the walking path you are supposed to take a “left turn” if you had a big rig DO NOT take this one way. You will not make it. Call the front and they will shut down the road and escort you out. While we didn’t know to do that we did go straight but met a camper on the way out and caused a bit of frustration.
The employee was super super nice and said just to call them next time and they will be glad to escort us out as they know it’s really tight through there. Pretty clean, nice staff, and very close to SDC. Just take your time navigating this park and you’ll be fine.

The Campground is mostly used year around by people going to SDC. Most of the sites a not level and some have 50 foot drop offs behind them. Bring leveling blocks and wheel chocks. Sites include full hookups with Electric, Water, Sewer and cable TV. Some of the sites are tight when backing in. The campground is near a major highway, police and semis are noisy at night and in the morning. Pool is nice during the summer. There is a general store onsite with a family room full of games.
