A real Downeast clambake adventure, narrated scenic tour of Boothbay Harbor aboard the Bennie Allice, en route to Cabbage Island nestled in Linekin Bay.
We had a really good time at the clambake. The hour ride by boat to Cabbage Island was lovely and the captain shared lots of interesting local commentary along the way. The clambake was well organized and the staff was friendly and efficient. There are picnic tables arranged here and there all around the property, and tables on a covered porch for those desiring a real table and chairs. The serving went like clockwork. I got two wonderful lobsters, an ear of corn, a roasted potato, a hard boiled egg (I can't remember the significance), and a foil packet of clams. I don't like clams, so I can't really comment on them. A huge piece of blueberry cake finished off the meal. It was just such a pleasant way to spend 4 hours, and I'd definitely recommend it.
