“Empanadas -- That's what we do here!”
Tango’s Subs and Empanadas opened in October 2006 in Boise, Idaho. Since then we have had the pleasure of introducing empanadas from Argentina to Idaho. But what are EMPANADAS? They are as old as time probably, known throughout the world with different names, doughs and fillings. It was the way for the men who went to mines, farms, etc. to have a meal inside a closed “sandwich” if you will. Calzones and Panzarottis in Italy, Piroshkis in the Soviet Union, Pierogies in Poland, Pastelillos in the Caribbean, Lahmajoon in Armenia, Pasties in England, Booregs in Saudi Arabia In Argentina they are a pastry filled dough, half moon shaped with beef, veggies or sweets. They can be baked or fried. We take pride in our EMPANADAS ( EM – PAH – NAH – DAS). Because we are a Mom and Pop establishment we cook for you as if it was for our family. Only the best ingredients and with love. Check our menu and find your empanada! We sell yerba mate, gourds and bombillas along with other imported Argentinian products.
