“Watch out for the birds!”
Best known from it's appearance in Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds", the Potter Schoolhouse long sat in a state of disrepair for many years until it was purchased and lovingly restored by a couple who have made it their home. Of course, the couple didn't exactly take into account how many Hitchcock fans would be showing up and taking pictures in front of their home all day once the restoration process was finished, but thankfully, they're sympathetic to the plight of film lovers. The first floor of the Potter Schoolhouse now houses a Hitchcock-themed giftshop. For just $2, visitors are encouraged to rent a pair of stuffed crows for use in their mock bird attack photographs.
Not open for tours and no museum...still looks great from the road, though.
Beautiful area! I’m a Hitchcock buff; definitely with the stop!
recently went thru and saw it. First time I was there in many years. Was very disappointed they removed the jungle gym...
This was a nice little picture spot if you loved the movie, The Birds
