Blue Ridge is my favorite mountain town in Georgia, and the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway is can’t-miss attraction for those visiting.
Whether you (like us) celebrate the arrival of St. Nick – or you are simply looking for some cold-weather excitement – you need to hop aboard one of these four winter rides.
If you are in Blue Ridge, or anywhere near the area, you cannot skip this train ride. Regardless of the age of your kids – or maybe you are visiting without kids – no matter. I highly recommend a ride in the open-air car in Spring. You can feel the breeze and smell the honeysuckle.
This is pretty expensive, but I'm glad we did it. My kids have never ridden a train before. I wasn't too impressed with the shops at the stop, but it was neat to take a picture in the GA/TN line. I would say the experience of riding the train was the best part about this. The views a lot of the time is just woods.
